  • Mark Morishige, MD

    Dr Mark Morishige attended the University of California at Berkeley, where he competed on the nationally ranked swimming and diving team. He then completed medical school at the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine. Following an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Kansas in Wichita, he completed an arthroscopy and sports medicine fellowship at the Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center and Tulane Institute for Sports Medicine. During his training he was actively involved in the care for several teams that ranged from high school to division 1 NCAA athletes as well as professional athletes. He currently belongs to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He has written two textbook chapters and presented or published articles on shoulder arthroscopy and techniques of shoulder replacements.

    Dr Morishige’s practice includes knee arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction. He has a special interest in arthroscopic shoulder and elbow surgery as well as arthroscopic treatment for hip disease. He also performs shoulder replacement and fracture surgery.
