Dr. Michael C. Doarn is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who has a passion for hand and upper extremity care. He practices full time in Sioux City, Iowa. He is an Ohio native and has trained in the midwest and the southeast. His procedural specialties include:
- Nerve decompression and repair
- Upper extremity fracture care including hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, upper arm, and shoulder
- Ligament and tendon surgery
- Arthritis care including joint replacement
- Arthroscopic surgery
- Dupuytren's contracture care
- Ganglion cysts and other masses
He also provides option to perform procedures such as carpal tunnel and trigger finger release under local anesthetic
Well versed and published in orthopaedics, Dr. Doarn is dedicated to educating his patients while providing the best care possible with the goal of getting them back to work and life. Dr. Doarn serves with Dr. Althaus in providing consultant medical care for the Sioux City Bandits football team.
Dr Doarn practices full time in Siouxland, both in Iowa and South Dakota and will be adding a Nebraska location soon. Dr. Doarn also provides care in outreach clinic and surgery at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, IA.
